On the occasion of NATO Day, 4th April, the Euro-Atlantic Council of Macedonia will organize the event “NATO and You” celebrating the signature of the North Atlantic Treaty.
Prof. Fabrizio Luciolli, Atlantic Treaty Association President will participate as a speaker at the event to be held in Skopje organized by the Ministry of Defense, ATA Macedonia, NATO Liaison Office and the Croatian Embassy in Macedonia.
The NATO week encompasses many events that aim to bring FYR Macedonia’s strategic determination of NATO integration closer to the people. During the week, the citizens will have the opportunity to become familiar with the concept of the organization. NATO week includes several events, such as an open discussion, an interactive exhibition and an open public event at Macedonia square. The goal is to have high-ranking policymakers, diplomats, and representatives from the armed forces and civilian staff involved in the process of Euroatlantic integration highlight the benefits of joining the Alliance through direct interaction with citizens. The co-organizers of the event are the Ministry of Defense, the NATO Liaison office, the Embassy of Croatia in Skopje, and ATA Macedonia.

II. Official opening of the exhibit “The Republic of Macedonia on the road to NATO”
The exhibition will show the history of the NATO Alliance, as well as the history of the Euro-Atlantic integrations of the FYR Macedonia. The tours will be interactive and held daily, in rotation, by heads of departments in the MOD, representatives from the NATO Liaison Office and the Association of Military Attaches and mostly dedicated to students from high schools in Skopje.

III. Open event on April the 4th “ARM with You”
It will represents an opportunity to citizens to gain a better insight on ARM’s functioning with an exhibit on technical assets such as armored vehicles.
The program will kick off with the Army Orchestra and the National Guard marching from the Army Hall to the square which will be followed by the anthems of the FYR Macedonia, the ARM and NATO played by the orchestra. The guards will perform the “Exercir”. Videos will also be projected on the City Gallery building.
